Baseline follows a narrator who begins noticing small inconsistencies between what they remember and what they’re being told is true. At first, the differences are easy to dismiss. A forgotten detail here. A misplaced certainty there.
But the deeper they look, the harder it becomes to trust their own mind.
This story explores memory, identity, conditioning, and the unsettling possibility that the person you’ve become may not be entirely your own creation.
